I'll Be Home For Xmas
The hilarious website PrettyOnTheOutside.com is coming atcha with various celebrity-inspired Xmas cards to help you ya'll in the holiday spirit. So far, my fave Xmas card is the Star Jones and Al Reynolds card but these two cards also rank amongst my faves:
The artist always manages to capture the right spirit of each celeb he portrays. I think he really gets Michael Jackson and Britney Spears. Our dear Brit-Brit looks to be in fine holiday form. [Source]
Actually, if you want to see the real Britney Spears in the holiday mood you need look no further than her short vid piece that aired on Access Hollywood yesterday which was taped in Britney's own home ... here are a few screencaps from the clip:
Of course, the clip is nothing more than a commercial for her two fragrances Curious and Fantasy ... I mean, you don't really believe that her Xmas tree is decorated with empty perfume boxes, do you? Er, okay ... I suppose it is possible but it's a shameless commercial nonetheless. Altho, I must say that my favorite part of the vid is when only 3 stockings are shown hanging with care by the fireplace -- one for her, Sean Preston and Jayden James. I'm pretty sure Britney made sure that Kevin Federline's stocking was inside the fireplace. [Source]
But Britney isn't the only celeb getting into the Xmas spirit early ... here are a couple of pictures of Snoop Dogg chillin' with Santa Claus:
One can only imagine what wonderful gifts for good little boys and girls a Santa Snoop might leave underneath the Xmas tree. I'm pretty sure to get the "good stuff" that you have to leave a treat for Snoopy Claus ... and none of that milk and cookies nonsense -- maybe something more like gin and juice. [Source]
Okay ... so lemme get this straight ... a group of bored photogs staking out Paris Hilton's home started rummaging thru her trash and found a discarded Paris Hilton poster in one of the bins?
Dudes, if that's what they found in Paris' garbage can you imagine what could be found in Lindsay Lohan's garbage bins? Wait, has anyone actually seen the real Paris Hilton lately? [Source]
Mel Gibson appears to not only have a drinking problem but it also seems that he has an eating problem as well:
From the looks of those crusty splotches alongside those well soaked grease stains it appears that someone is a big fan of the Moons Over My Hammy special at Denny's. [Source]
Fall Out Boy will be debuting the video for their new single This Ain't A Scene Its An Arms Race on MTV tonight at 11PM ... so while you're waiting for the vid to drop they've provided a little behind the scenes clip to keep you entertained in the meantime which you can see HERE:
Well, okay ... it's not so much a behind the scenes clip as it is a quick vid of guitarist Joe Trohman and bassist Pete Wentz talking about what one scene in the video is like. Hmm ... well, at least you get to see Pete rockin' the porn 'stache ... that should keep you entertained for a wee bit, no? [Source]
Neil Gaiman, by way of his amazing blog, points us towards a few stills from the upcoming movie Stardust which is based on one of his books (which features Tori Amos as a tree) and stars Michelle Pfeiffer:
Neil's stories are so amazing and I can't even tell you how excited I am to see his fairytale brought to life on the big screen. I am a ravenous fan of his work and do my best to consume it all as soon as it gets released. I even recently purchased the audiobook version of his latest collection of stories, Fraglie Things. I'm not a big consumer of audio books but this unabridged version is read entirely by Neil and there is something about his voice that makes the stories even more special. Tori Amos fans should note that this collection includes the stories that Neil wrote to accompany all the characters that Tori personifies on her album of cover songs Strange Little Girls. [Source]
BONUS: Click HERE to download an MP3 of Neil's poem Nicholas Was ... which is just the right thing to listen to for this time of the year.
Janet Jackson is on the cover of the new Sinagpore/Malaysian issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine ...
... or something kinda resembling Janet Jackson is on the cover. I'm not sure who they're trying to fool with this cover but something just doesn't seem right about the whole thing. Is that really her body underneath her head? [Source]
Reichen Lehmkuhl has updated his official My Space profile with a few new really hot pictures including a new hot picture of his boyfriend Lance Bass ... additionally, Reichen also posted a new blog post confirming that he and Lance are still happily together:
He writes: From the Horse's Mouth: ... I have not broken up with my boyfriend. He then goes on to write other things in this new post before wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Click HERE to read the full text of Reichen's My Space blog post (TMZ also has Reichen's blog quotes HERE). This is extremely good news ... long live Leichen!!! [Source]
My good friend Joe has alerted me to the fact that it appears that Prison Break star Dominic Purcell is, apparently, the new face for Manhunt.net -- an online social networking community for gay men which advertises on My Space:
Well, at the very least this dude in the Santa hat looks a lot like Dominic Purcell. Either Manhunt.net was able to find a model who looks exactly like Mr. Purcell, they used Mr. Purcell's likeness without his knowledge or Mr. Purcell has got a lot of 'splainin' to do. It's interesting that My Space where this ad shows up all over the place and who has an official tie-in with FOX TV shows like Prison Break, hasn't caught this sooner. [Source, Source, thanks Joe]
UPDATE: Pink readers Jeff and JP both from Vancouver, BC tell me that the Santa hat dude is a Vancouver bartender at a gay bar called Odyssey who may or may not be named Mark or Guy. Hmm ... I dunno ... this bartender dude still looks a lot like Dominic Purcell. Thanks guys!
UPDATE: In my manic rush to not be late for my early flight this morning I failed to send out all my Birthday LURVE to Jake Gyellenhaal who is celebrating his birthday today:
Thank you all for the emails reminding me what a horrible Jakey poo fan I am ;) But, here I am in Denver posting a pretty hot Jake picture for his birthday! Holla!! [Source]
Sadly, cartoon legend Joseph Barbera (the surviving half of Hannah/Barbera) peaced out Sunday at the ripe age of 95. I find it hard to believe that there is anyone in the Western World (at least) who isn't familiar with at least one of his cartoon creations (Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby Doo ... the list goes on) and who isn't a little sad at his passing:
There are few people who have been able to impact entire generations of children in the way that Joseph Barbera was able to do. His creations will live on for all time and surely they will entertain countless generations of children to come. He will surely be missed ... for truly, a great man has been lost. [Source]
In happy news, I just received word that my good friends Sam and Rachel got engaged over the weekend! I did my best to find a really cute picture of the two of them together (altho their My Space profiles are extremely lacking in cute coupley pictures ... in fact, there aren't any coupley pictures of any kind on either profile!) and managed to come up with this one from a few New Year's Eves ago (trust me, Rachel is happy even tho she looks like someone peed in her drink):
If ever there was a man and a woman made for one another it's these two lovebirds. I wish them nothing but happiness and long love-filled lives together. Much congrats to you both!
UPDATE: Sam sent me this AMAZING picture of he and Rachel as he popped the question in Chicago:
I love it! Congrats again!
And finally ... as a little inspiration for me to get home as fast as I can, here are a few new pictures of Princess Zaikya (who is growing up way too fast for my liking) sent to me by her big sister Amber:
OMG! She is seriously the cutest little girl in this world. I can't wait to see her and hear her talk (!!!).
So yeah ... I'm basically out the door on my way to LAX to begin my very long day of travel. Because I booked my holiday travel relatively late (ie. not six months ago), not only did I pay an arm and a leg but I also have to suffer thru extended layovers that will pretty much have me in airports and airplanes all day long. It's all good tho ... it'll be worth it.
I'll be comin' atcha from D-Town for the next couple of weeks ... and I guess that is all. I'm out.
PS: Do yourself a favor and check out THIS amazing video called 24th. Friends of Chloe will be impressed I think (thanks for the link Bianca).
